Beauty Company’s India License Suspended

J&J is no longer allowed to manufacture cosmetics at its Mulund plant.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reportedly suspended Johnson & Johnson’s India license to produce cosmetic products at their plant in Mulund, as of June 24, 2013.

Residue of ethylene oxide, a known carcinogenic and irritant that is often used for sterilization, was found in 15 batches of baby powder in 2007.
